I've been working in the sexuality field for almost 30 years. So what do I have to show for this quarter century? I...
My areas of current interest within the sexuality field are understanding eroticism, self-sexuality/masturbation, polyamory, and sexuality education for adults. I still regularly attend regional and annual conferences of SSSS, and in 1999 for the first time attended the biennial meeting of the World Association for Sexology in Hong Kong. Although I've never been an academic sexologist, I'm curious about many aspects of human sexuality, and I'm planning to feed my curiosity with a series of short surveys that you, dear reader, are invited to participate in. The first one is on the subject on the relationship between masturbation and partner-sex. If you are over 18 and sexually active, you may wish to participate in my current online survey. (Your response should take three minutes or less.) |

In Carol Queen's Great Vibrations: A Consumer Guide to Vibrators, the irrepressible Ms. Queen talks about and demonstrates the use of more than a dozen different kinds of vibrators. Reassuring and helpful to new users, lively and enhancing for others.

My
most recent book is Still
Doing It: Men and Women Over Sixty Write About Their Sexuality.
As far as books go, one that interests me for the future is: |
|
| The Open Couple, couples who've made polyamory work for them for
10 years or more are being interviewed with special attention to how they
have negotiated for and managed their secondary relationships, while maintaining
and strengthening their primary partnership. My co-author/editor and I are
actively
seeking people who would like to write about their experiences, or be
interviewed for this book.

Along with friend Scott Cooper, I created Titattoos (that's said tit-tat-toos), temporary tattoos designed to be worn on the breast. You can see all six designs and order them from Scott by clicking here. Among all the sexually explicit trash that can be found in cyberspace, a few sites stand out for their superb presentation of fine erotic writing. Please visit my friends at Libido Magazine and Clean Sheets to see what's on their sites this month. While you are out visiting, do check out Susie Bright's site to see what that mischievous socio/sexual commentator is up to. And stop in on Carol Queen too. Then there are the writings (essays, reviews, thought pieces) of my good friend David Steinberg. David, editor and publisher of Erotic By Nature and editor of The Erotic Impulse, writes a regular column for Spectator Magazine entitled Comes Naturally. More than ninety of these essays plus other writings are archived by the Society for Human Sexuality. While you are at SHS, you might want to check out a presentation by Jack Morin, author of Anal Pleasure and Health and The Erotic Mind, on the subject of anal sexuality. If you want to be on David's mailing list to receive essays monthly by email, please address a note to him at eronat@aol.com, and ask him to add you to his list.
Photographs and tongue-in-cheek descriptors of several of my large collection of antique and just-plain-old vibrators appear in the Vibrator Museum on the Good Vibrations web site. Perhaps you will enjoy this box cover from one of my favorite oldies. Click on the Other Stuff button for links to the Sexuality Education and Information Council of the United States (SIECUS), and to the Archive of Sexology, a massive collection of sexology resources worldwide.
